Trades Hall contains a number of different venues that are available for hire by individuals, community groups and unions. Whether your event is a small community meeting or big party, Trades Hall may have just what you’re looking for.

Evatt Room (12)

Primarily used as a meeting space, this room can accommodate meetings approximately 12 around a table or up to 30 in theatre style seating. Room dimensions: 39.16m2 (7.74m x 5.05m).

Old Council Chambers (75)

The original meeting space at the Hall is a unique venue for theatrical or educational uses. The Chamber has a stage, tiered seating in a horseshoe shape and access to 3-phase power. Maximum seating capacity of 75. Room dimensions: 93.55m2  (7.7m x 12.15m).

Meeting Room 1 (80) 

Multipurpose room suitable for meetings, film screenings, workshops, performances or exhibitions. Can seat up to 80 in theatre style or accommodate meetings of approximately 40 around tables. Room dimensions: 90.25m2 (12.10m x 7.74m).

New Ballroom (180 - 220) 

Flexible space ideal for theatre, music or cabaret. Maximum seating capacity of 180 – 220 depending on configuration. Room is 240.7m2 (16.95m x 14.2m) has access to 3-phase power and a lighting rig. Room is let on a “room only” basis.

New Council Chambers (340)

With fixed theatre style seating of up to 340 and a small stage, this venue is well suited to large meetings, movie screenings, and theatrical performances with small casts. Room comes equipped with microphones (fixed and roving), video projector and stereo sound. Seats can be screened off to accommodate smaller events of up to 100 or 200 people.
